Half Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

Maybe someday I'll have something noteworthy to post in this section. I have only completed three 5ks and a 5 miler; all at an average pace somewhere in the 9:00-9:30min/mile range

Painter's Half 2010 - 2:03:54

Short-Term Running Goals:

Painter's Half Marathon - would like to keep an average pace of 9:00min/mile.

Painter's Half - Went over my goal and finished in 2:03:54 :( It was my first half though.  I had a great time and learned what I need to work on.

Salt Lake Half Marathon - would like to finish in under 2 hours.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Would like to complete a full marathon in the fall of 2010 and finally conquer the Herriman Hill...to be honest, there are several hills in Herriman I'd love to conquer, but that one for sure!

Personal:

I am a stay-at-home mother, married and have two young boys.

Woke up at 4:45am to run with the BBK's (my husband thought I was crazy).

3 miles, AP 9:27.  The slippery roads and being pelted in the face with freezing rain weren't too enjoyable, but running with someone is always better than running alone! I had to leave the group early to make it home in time for my husband to leave for the day so when I got home I hopped on the treadmill for an extra 3 miles at a 9:00min/mile pace.

I still haven't decided what I'm going to do the rest of the week.  I want to be ready, but I don't want to push it too hard.  Maybe 5 miles tomorrow, 4 Thursday, and 3 Friday???

Are you doing Painters? Good luck. I hear it's the place to be.

Yes! Painters will be my very first half marathon. Kelli promised to pace me so even if she has to drag me across the finish line, I will make it!

So you're the infamous friend that Kelli's pacing. That will be fun. Tell her I said hi. She'll know what I mean.

Hi Burt.

Emily, I think that is a good plan, nice and easy the rest of the week!!! You are going to do great, I have the perfect plan...

I was glad to see you for a bit Tuesday, but totally got why you left us in that miserable weather. The TM was probably nice. I was soaked when I got home (and tired----they run too fast!)
