Half Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

Maybe someday I'll have something noteworthy to post in this section. I have only completed three 5ks and a 5 miler; all at an average pace somewhere in the 9:00-9:30min/mile range

Painter's Half 2010 - 2:03:54

Short-Term Running Goals:

Painter's Half Marathon - would like to keep an average pace of 9:00min/mile.

Painter's Half - Went over my goal and finished in 2:03:54 :( It was my first half though.  I had a great time and learned what I need to work on.

Salt Lake Half Marathon - would like to finish in under 2 hours.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Would like to complete a full marathon in the fall of 2010 and finally conquer the Herriman Hill...to be honest, there are several hills in Herriman I'd love to conquer, but that one for sure!

Personal:

I am a stay-at-home mother, married and have two young boys.

P90X "Shoulders & Arms" workout.   3 TM miles at 6.0.  Slow, I know, but I still felt like I was pushing myself.  Again, I'm going to increase my speed once I build up to 5 miles.

SO nice to check in for a minute and see you being so consistent with your workouts AND getting 3 miles with NO mention of ITB pain!! YAY!!! You're being smart with your speed, keep consistent and steady with no pain!

How are ya??? Long time no talk? I am such a slacker in the summer.

Don't worry, I'm alive! I am SUCH a blogging slacker. I'm so sorry! I promise I've been running. Not as much as I'd like to though b/c I feel like we've been so busy this summer. I feel like I need a vacation from all of our vacations! I've been running about 10-15 miles per week and continue to do P90X. My knee hasn't be hurting at all so that's great news. I ran a 5k on the 3rd of July and my time was 28:31. I'm going home to visit my parents in Virginia next month and am scheduled to run an 8 mile race on the James River on the 25th of September. It originally was supposed to be a half-marathon and I'm kinda bugged they changed it. I was really hoping for a sub 2:00 hour time. I do hope to run the race at a 9:00 avg pace though w/out any ITB pain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for checking in on me! I hope you're enjoying your summer.

Summer is BUSY, but that is good. Glad to hear things are going well and you are feeling good. Best of luck on the upcoming race, I am sure you will do great.

Emily! I'm so glad you are doing well. I run through the cove a few times a week and often think about how much I'd love to pick you up and run with you! Maybe I'll run into you sometime.

I'm glad the ITB has settled down for you and that you are on your way to an 8 mile race. I'm sure you'll do great! Try to blog about it when you get back if you remember. Miss you!
